The Manor House Hotel & Spa in West Auckland, County Durham was the setting for the day for Guy and Nicola. They had chosen to have a civil ceremony and wedding breakfast at The Manor House, West Auckland which is a great idea for people who aren’t religious and it saves travelling on the day for yourself and guests. You can relax from the get-go and settle in for your special day.
It was a gorgeous day, the sun was shining perfectly and was very warm. We spent a lot of the day outside in the gardens, allowing us to maximise the lighting conditions for the best photos possible. The Manor House, West Auckland now have a gazebo in their rear garden and is perfect for wedding photos and we got a lot of really nice photos in this location.

The Rings
There was a very interesting surprise in the form of the No.1 Singing Waiters. They had a great choice of songs, and had everyone on their feet and waving their arms in the air. It had a very different feel to other weddings I had attended, and had a very exciting upbeat afternoon. They even finished off with a conga around the garden 🙂

Chris Hughes, born 1986 and a photographer from Bishop Auckland, County Durham in the North East of England. He has been interested in photography for many years now. Chris loves exploring and being creative, finding different angles and perspectives to capture that precious moment. Chris says “It is amazing how different a photo can look just by changing the angle or zoom, and it is this that gives so many possibilities for photographers to explore.”
